Binge watching TV shows is a time-honored tradition, beginning as soon as marathoning shows was a possibility. Our ancestors scoured video stores to acquire all of the Monty Python episodes (and probably the movies, too), and from there the process of watching a TV series continuously in one or two stints has been a great way to party with yourself (or friend who really wants to re-watch Breaking Bad and promises not to spoil it).
Today, the easiest and most legal way to binge watch a TV series is with a streaming service such as Netflix or Hulu. Our Netflix Binge Watching Checklist template will help you prep for your binge watching day/week/month so you can get the most out of your rapid consumption of reality-disconnecting media.
The template contains two columns: One with each task, and another for you to mark off a task as finished. You can complete with template on your computer, or print it to keep it close to your heart.
The first section ensures that you will not encounter the anti-binge horror of “the series isn’t entirely on Netflix/Hulu/etc”. Do your homework before starting and the rest will go smoothly.
The day before you start your show, make sure you clear away any possible interruptions. Pay your bills, telephone your grandmother, call out of work, and stock up on food and drinks to avoid having to leave during your binge.
Finally, an hour before your binge, arrange your viewing area to ensure maximum comfortable-ness. Have your food and drinks ready, all chargers full, unnecessary noises silences (disable your doorbell if you must), and that you have everything within an arms reach.
Sit back and start your series. Nap only if your survival needs it. Finally, finish your series and repeat the process. Enjoy!
