Some of us feel like we live in our car. Clothing, food wrappers, and odd assortments of items may litter our vehicle as we travel between work, school, and home on a daily basis. It’s important to keep your car cleaned though to avoid things like bug colonies, being embarrassed when others are in your car, and general sadness. Our car cleaning checklist will break down how to quickly and easily clean the interior and exterior of your car to make it look (mostly) brand new.
The two columns in this checklist contain one that describes the task, and another area to check-mark off as “done”. It’s best to print this checklist out and keep it with you as you clean your car.
The first steps contain instructions on how clean the interior of your car. Everything from removing rubbish to easily ridding crevices of grime are included. To do this, we recommend having:
- Microfiber cloths
- An all purpose cleaner, preferably in tissue form
- A dust busters
- A toothbrush (for small areas)
The exterior is more simple, as it essentially consists of pouring water on your car and then removing the water (and with it all that pesky road dirt). For the exterior you will need:
- A hose (preferably with a power wash option)
- A sponge
- Dish washing liquid or other car surface cleaner
- A soft towel
Depending on the state of your car, this whole process should take no more than a maximum of two hours. Just be sure to not skimp on any steps – or you’ll be back to cleaning sooner than later.
